Global blockchain VC funding peaked in 2022, another classic sign of excessive froth and unsustainable market conditions. With ZIRP now in the rear view, high risk VC funding is unlikely to reach these levels any time soon. However, this recent dearth of VC funding in the blockchain realm may change under the next US regulatory regime which could bring innovators and developers back to the US.
